My name is Tom Lochtefeld. I am a 5-Star ASHI Certified Inspector and the founder and lead inspector for Nearwater Property Group Home Inspections licensed in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. My previous work experience includes working on Wall Street where I was Global Head of Market Risk Reporting for JP Morgan. My meticulous attention to processes and details was of paramount importance in that role - especially during the financial meltdown of 2008, and I bring those same qualities to home inspection.

My true passion has always been a love for houses and their history. From growing up and maintaining my family's historic home on Nantucket Island, to caring for my own homes and five investment properties, I have spent years gaining hands-on knowledge about how houses work.
